Drama Review (Korean): A Poem A Day

So, untuk entri kali ni sis nak share dengan korang tentang satu drama Korea yang boleh dikatakan masih baru juga la though dah episod 8 pun hehe. Still ongoing lagi cerita ni.

Ini dia, A POEM A DAY. 📓

SYNOPSIS:
The story of lives of people who work at the hospital like physical therapists, rehabilitation therapists, radiologists, nurses, medical trainees and more. Ye Jae Wook (Lee Joon Hyuk) works as a physical therapist and also teaches in the same field. He begins to work as a team leader at a hospital. Woo Bo Young (Lee Yoo Bi) has been working as a physical therapist for 3 years. She wanted to become a poet, but due to her poor family background she studied to become a physical therapist. Shin Min Ho (Jang Dong Yoon) is a trainee, but he isn’t interested in physical therapy. His grades weren’t good enough for medical school and his parents, who are both doctors, made him study physical therapy

GENRE:  Medical, poetry, romance, comedy (both romance and comedy are not a major genre in this drama)
There are reasons why I like and recommended this drama to you guys.
1. Because its about medical, one of the BIG reasons why I love this drama. Though it is not major in what I was in, but I think for me, anything about medical I would love to watch it! So, drama ni berkisahkan tentang kehidupan sebagai seorang physical therapist (it is more on this occupation) dan juga medical staff yang lain. As you know, sangat jarang or maybe this is the first one (tak tahu la kan) yang ada cerita tentang medical SELAIN daripada doktor. I mean as the main stuff.
2. The actors and actress, maybe?? Hahaha. Yang ini confirm la! The first actor yang I recognized is Jang Dong Yoon (well, aku tak tahu nama dia pun just cam muka je at first haha). This is because he was in drama School 2017 as the second lead actor. Joon Hyuk, erm boleh laaa haha. Pelakon yang lain yang aku kenal is Defconn. Haa korang yang kenal and minat Defconn tu boleh la try tengok drama ni okay?!
3. Other than only medical, ada juga terselit romance and comedy. Of course I like these kind of genre! Kalau yang kelakar tu, boleh tahan juga la. Romance tu ada juga cuma tak obvious sangat kot. Haha entah la. Just maybe romance or love punya part tu tak memberat sangat I mean. Oh and bab poetry tu, sometimes I was always skipped that part. Hahaha malas nak dengar poem semua tu. Kekadang jee.
4. Maybe dari segi storyline? I think, the storyline and idea are quite good, which is not many publisher/director yang mengetengahkan skop pekerjaan medical yang lain, which is in this story is the physical therapist. It also shows another medical scope which is radiologist (but it is not much though).
5. Related to real life issues. Erm, well not so much but if you watch this drama, you will see there are a little bit issues that commonly happen in medical industry. For example... Hmm korang fikir and carilah sendiri haha. Aku pun tak tahu nak cakap macam mana.

Anyway, I think that's enough kot. As for me, I really love this kind of story as it involved the medical stuffs. Well, maybe because me, myself is involved in medical industry. Erm, yeah.

Jangan lupa tengok these actor and actress berlakon dalam drama ni tau!
Oh, I know different people have different taste on variety of dramas. So, this is one yang saya suka dan recommend untuk you alls. Kalau suka cerita ala-ala medic gitu boleh la tengok ye!
Yang belajar or bekerja as physical therapist pun boleh la tengok drama ni sebab it is close related with you guys.

How to Know Your Best Skincare?

Hi gais and good night everyone!
Sihat tak tu? hehe. Hari ni sis nak jugak la upload entri ni sebab seminggu tak update since saya agak busy sem ni. Okay, so today I want to share with you guys on types of your skin and tips on how to choose your skincare. And honestly, its not from my reading or knowledge yang menggunung about skincare. I got this kind of information from a sharing that I went to (dari sem lepas kot haha), given by the famous blogger who loves to write up about beauty on her blog. Its Iman Abdul Rahim! Well, you guys can check it out here , on her blog later, AFTER READING MY ENTRY. Okay? Hahaha.
So, shall we start?

Alright, first thing first.
1. SKIN TYPES
Kita mestilah kena tahu apa jenis kulit kita, barulah kita boleh go on dengan skincare kita nak pakai. Kalian semua ni tahu tak apa jenis kulit muka kalian? Meh sini cik ain nak habaq mai nahh..
Ada beberapa jenis kulit muka, antaranya:


Saya tak reti sangat nak explain more pasal ni. Tapi just a little bit, so based on pictures pun maybe korang boleh nampak sikit the points kan. Hehe.
So agak-agak, dah boleh tahu skin type korang? Saya punya jenis oily oily gituu. Macam combination pun ada juga laa hehe. So kalau korang dah tahu, kita move on dengan next topik, iaitu pemilihan skincare atau tips pemakaian skincare.


2. CLEANSER
Untuk pencuci muka, pemilihan cleanser pun penting tau! Kalau nak cuci muka yang bermekap, boleh guna oily cleanser kemudian baru cuci dengan cleanser biasa (kalau rajin la buat double cleasing hehe). Oily cleanser ni korang boleh cari je kat watsons ke, guardian ke. Kalau breakout kulit tetiba jadi kering gitu, mungkin sebab pH cleanser tinggi. Tak sesuai dengan pH kulit muka kita yang rendah iaitu around 5.5 (acidic).

3. SCRUB
Untuk pemakaian scrub muka, boleh pakai dalam 2-3 kali seminggu. Jangan pakai tiap hari tau! Mati sel kulit muka korang asyik kena genyeh je. Yang kulitnya mungkin jenis sensitif, skrub aprikot (St Ives kott) mungkin tak sesuai sebab beads dia agak kasar.

4. TONER
Untuk toner pula, it's an extra actually. Tak wajib pakai tapi boleh saja nak pakai tiap-tiap hari. Sis ingat lagi dia ada cakap yang toner ni macam cleanser kedua kita, nak bersihkan kotoran yang lebih-lebih gitu. So I suka pakai tiap hari hehe. Tepek tepek je kat muka. Kadang je pakai cotton. Oh and pasal cara pakai, tak kisah nak pakai tangan atau cotton. Cuma mungkin pakai cotton tu lagi bersih than our hands, right?

5. SERUM
Penggunaan serum pula sebenarnya lebih kepada mereka yang mempunyai masalah kulit. It just an extra in your skincare. Dan tidak ada masalah juga bagi mereka yang tiada masalah kulit kalau nak pakai serum ni. For example, vitamin C serum baik untuk bagi muka nampak glowing gitu.

6. MOISTURIZER
Next, important step jugak ni iaitu moisturizer. Nama pun moisturizer, so function dia untuk bagi kulit kita ni moist gitu. Tak kering.
Untuk mereka yang jenis kulitnya oily, seeloknya guna moisturizer yang untuk hydration dan yang oil-free moisturizer (with hyaluronic acid and glycerin). Untuk dry skin, boleh try yang ada oils (like shea butter, jojoba oil, or coconut oil).

7. SUNSCREEN/SUNBLOCK
Haa, sunscreen ni pun antara yang WAJIB kena pakai tau! (Tapi sis pun jarang-jarang pakai wehehe). Kenapa kena pakai? Antaranya sebab kita taknak kulit gelap/sunburn (siapa je nak kann), elak pigmentation/jeragat (most common cause gituu), tak nak kulit berkedut, and tak nak kena skin cancer.

So basically, ada dua either UVA atau UVB. UVA more on causing aging and UVB more on causing sunburn. SPF pun pandai-pandai pilih la. Sunblock ni kalau berjemur boleh pakai dalam 3-4 jam, then reapply. Pakai yang SPF 30-50 pun dah okay dah tu.

8. EXTRAS

Actually, toner, scrub, serum, mask tu semuanya just like the extras je. Not necessary tapi digalakkan kalau rajin. Lebih kurang macam tu. Pemakaian mask pula selalunya after toner, kemudian baru diikuti dengan moisturizer.

Dari segi ingredients dalam bahan-bahan skincare, salicylic acid atau dicelamide elok untuk mereka yang ada masalah jerawat. JANGAN beli skincare yang ada bahan mercury atau bleach atau seangkatan dengannya (selalunya local skincare tapi tak juga semua). Kulit muka yang ada parut, jerawat, dark spot, boleh guna yang ada bahan seperti niacinamide. Niacinamide ni water soluble yang elok untuk improve or reduced appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, dullness, and a weakened surface.

Ingredients dalam skincare juga bergantung kepada jenis kulit anda. Mungkin alcohol, essential oil like tea tree oil, citrus, lavender, rose and others, may be not good for people with sensitive skins. Sodium laureth sulfate (SLS) also not good sangat rasanya. You can read it more here , the ingredients you should avoid.
Ingredients lain yang okay untuk dipakai antaranya ialah hyaluronic acid. Kebaikan hyaluronic acid ni sebab dia baik untuk kekalkan/replenish moisture kulit. Niacinamide bagus untuk control sebum production, minimize appearance of pores and also good for blemish/acne skin. Salicylic acid pula baik untuk treat acne skin and reduced inflammation, prevent further breakouts.

Gambar atas ni menunjukkan perbezaan antara BHA dan AHA. Untuk AHA, ianya lebih preferred for people with normal to dry skin. While for BHA, its good for people from normal to oily skin prone to bumps, clogs, blemishes, and enlarged pores.

Selalu skincare product mention pasal healing crisis. In fact, it's not good pun untuk skincare yang bagus ada healing crisis. Instead of healing crisis, purging is much better. So purging takpe la. For example, bila guna produk baru jadi breakout (not really good girlss).
Dark circle ni pula biasalah. Lagi-lagi student. Tapi kadang dark circle ni boleh jadi sebab genetik juga. Others reason tu biasalah sebab tak cukup rehat, tidur, air dan maybe hormon. So, solution nya cari eye cream yang bagus jela kot kann.
Seeloknya pakai satu produk je at one time, jangan sekali gus dua produk. Kalau nak juga, pakai satu pagi, dan satu lagi malam. (I pun sometimes suka pakai 2 products but at different time la) 
Kadang tu, pemakaian skincare ni payah/leceh sebab banyak benda. But its a journey for your skin. Kata nak cantik, kenalah rajin beb! Pemakanan pun penting kalau nak kulit cantik. Kurangkan makan makanan berkolesterol dan juga lagi-lagi makanan yang bergoreng/berminyak tu ha.

***Notes: Jangan lupa buat patch test bila guna produk baru. Caranya, pakai dan biarkan dalam 24 jam. Perhatikan jika ada tanda rashes atau merah-merah gatal gitu (it means it is not suitable for you).

Lastly, cantik itu penting! Tapi kenalah cantik luar dan dalam ye 😉
