KEM PARASITE DI KG ORANG ASLI BUKIT TADOM, BANTING SELANGOR
Selamat petang semua! Semoga semua sihat sahaja ye hehe. By the
way, hari ni aku nak share la sebagaimana yang aku pernah cakap kat entri
before this, Insyaallah ada masa ni aku cuba untuk update entri pasal kem parasite
yang aku pergi baru-baru ni.
I thought I was going to do such a formal one, macam artikel gituu. Hahahaha tapi tak payahlah bosan pulak nanti lol.
So here we are!
persatuan/course lain iaitu Nursing Student Association (NUSA), Nutrition and
Dietitian Student Association (NADA) dan Physiotherapy Student Association
(PHYTAS).
So indeed, the intro was formal though. Hahahaha. But
basically, that’s the main point about this program.
Semua pelajar sem 5 lepasan matrik terlibat, so by that
means, all of us being the AJK. Dan aku BIRO MAKANAN. Yeay, but no yeay. Hahaha
sebab makanan ni crucial do. You handle the foods with the caterer, make sure
all of the participants including the lecturer, staffs, eat. Its more crucial
when it is BBQ time.
BBQ sabtu malam, so we are the one yang handle BBQ’s foods. Ayam, nugget,
sosej, nasi goreng, air and so on.
Oh by the way, makanan semua kami ambil katerer makcik homestay tu juga.
It’s quite hard for us actually to ask them these samples. You
know why. Malu la kan. Even you yourself, nak ke tetiba bagi stool sample?
Oh man, I should start it nicely, according to the schedule.
Now we go briefly to the schedule of the program.
FIRST DAY.
So firstly, kami sampai sana pagi around 10-11 pagi di
Sampai sana kami just rest, and
the program started at the evening around 3 pm.

tentang cara pencegahan daripada mendapat jangkitan parasite, which include
such as proper step of washing hands, healthy foods, and also about drinking
water. Of course for sure, tak semua kami dapat sentuh pasal info-info ni tapi
at least beramah mesra la sikit in order to get the sample haha. That’s the main
There's a lot of dogs around here though, but yang dekat area balai raya ni mostly yang duduk diam elok je, tak kacau orang sangat. So, we're fine around there. It's lucky when there were children from that village came with us, guided the way and helped us chasing the dogs away.

Then malam
Jumaat, just having sharing session with Dr Tengku.
Macam-macam
cerita. For my group, cerita kena halau dengan anjing la. Anjing tu agresif
semacam.
kampung tu haha. Tapi kami kena layan jela kan, demi sampel lol.
Listening to our sharing session. |
Spot me, no? |
Guess who is this? This is our lecturer of parasitology subject, who came with us to the camp, obviously la kan. He's a kind and good lecturer though. Very sporting and likes such 'santai' way. |
SECOND DAY
penduduk kampung. Walaupun tak la ramai sangat yang datang, but we had a good time though.
But unfortunately, we didn’t get much of the sample from what we expected to get. Kami target untuk dapat around 32 as our class have 32 students but that day I think it’s just around belas-belas macam tu je.
This little girl, is one of the children who's playing hard to get. Quite shy at first but then she slowly drew out her cheerful character while playing with the bubbles. |

After sukaneka. I felt that we had a little bond with them. π |

Dr pun
macam boleh expect sikit la it will be like that, since penduduk sini pun dah
agak moden and educated. And plus, at that time ada majlis kahwin kat kampung
sebelah katanya, so that’s why tak ramai sangat penduduk kampung yang ada
datang. And plus also, sampel yang ada kami dapat hari tu, agak sikit
kuantitinya. Ada yang ciput je dia bagi. Well, maybe that’s because silap kami
salah cara kami beritahu mereka untuk collect stool sample tu.
So oleh
Dan juga Dr ajar kami teknik baru la selain daripada direct smear from fresh stool samples, which are anal swab or scotch tape, and Harada-Mori
technique.
Oh yeah! Lupa pulak. Interesting one. I guess we already told them to give stool sample, but then there’s still someone who gave us a urine sample. So like, WHATT??
Hahaha. Well, there’s nothing we can do la kalau macam tu. Haihh..
Big picture with the participants, lecturers, and staffs. |
Gambar ni kami tengah buat preserving stool with PVA kalau tak silap, or maybe doing Harada-mori technique. |
Then malam ni la malam yang penting! Haha. It’s BBQ time!
Haa kamilah
biro makanan yang jadi paling busy and have crucial role time tu. Plus, it’s
not only BBQ but there were also karaoke time. And our lecturer, Dr Tengku was
the being havoc one. He was the one who was so excited to sing that night, as
well as that he is the one who suggested that karaoke session. Hahaha lol.
Lecturer
kami sangat sporting dan havoc juga la. He loves singing (of course sebab kalau
boleh dia nak conquer mic tu sorang je haha), takes and gives jokes well, doesn’t
love being in serious always, like to tease and being teased (I guess so), and
kind, for sure la.
After BBQ,
then that’s it. But a few of us stayed till 12 midnight, chatting and playing.
We played UNO gaiss. Hahaha.
THIRD DAY
Hari Ahad.
It’s time
for us to go back. I mean, went back to the village to collect the remaining samples. Ahad
tu agak leisure je, just untuk kutip lebihan sampel. Well, banyak la jugak
dapat kutip, tapi most of them tak banyak sangat sampelnya.
Well, nothing we can do la. Takkan nak minta tambah pulak kan π
This is the MT (majlis tertinggi) squad, including our lecturer. Thanks to them, we were able to complete our mission although not achieving the goal nicely. |
A picture with the children. They were very kind and sporting. |
Anyway,
that’s all from us. That’s all about our parasite camp. We had a great days,
great memories, great people, great experience, and great lecturer/staff. Despite
of getting not so much sample (but Insyaallah cukup untuk belajar lab kami nanti), but we had a good time there. It’s a new experience
for us, approaching orang asli and get to know them.
And it’s a
good and nice memories for us as we lived together in one house. Its two houses actually, for
two groups of girls and one house for guys, including the lecturer. Rasanya meriah
sungguh rumah bila kami duduk sekali. We get to know each other more too,
includes the students from other courses.
I hope our bond and friendship will stay stronger and stay forever π
